The Port of Hamburg never sleeps. Anyone out here early in the morning notices right away: things get done here. It was exactly this location where we recently had a special highlight: another on-site visit to our client, ma-co.

The day got off to a fitting maritime start. In the morning, we boarded the boat right away to make our way across the harbor to ma-co. Once on the water, we put our time to good use and hold our daily team meeting on the boat.

The Agenda

After checking in and having a cup of coffee, we got right to work at ma-co. The workshop marked the official transition into the testing phase. It was important to us to once again demonstrate all the features of the new app in detail to management and key users so that the team could now begin practical testing in a structured manner.

The following items were on our joint agenda:

  • Guidelines & Rollout Preparation: How do we best get all employees on board? It’s important to us that new software not only works technically but is also understood and used by the entire team from day one.

  • End-to-End Testing: We simulated the entire application once. The goal: to clarify open issues directly on the board and immediately find joint, pragmatic solutions.

  • Design & Web Presence: We also got an exclusive look at the new website design.

  • Evaluations: How do the systems work together behind the scenes, and what lessons can we learn from this?

  • Outlook on AI & Automation: We’ve already outlined the next steps for how artificial intelligence and automated workflows can take on even more manual work in the future.

Workshop at ma-co: Transition to the Testing Phase

After a productive day, we took the boat back to the mainland. The key users are ready to go, the testing phase is getting underway, and we’re now using real-world feedback directly to put the finishing touches on the app.

If everything goes according to plan, we’ll see each other again in October at the Port of Hamburg—for the official launch!
