Ceramics, coffee and colleagues - our team event in Berlin

Berlin, a ceramics studio, paint on our hands and lots of team culture.

Our last team event at benjaminboehm.de fand in Berlin statt und war alles andere als ein gewöhnlicher Teamtag. Statt Tastaturen gab es Pinsel, statt Code gab es Farbe. Lena organisierte das Event und was dabei entstand, war mehr als nur bemalte Keramik – es war ein Stück gelebte Unternehmenskultur.

From code to ceramics: Why creativity in a team is so important

Together we painted a vase, a cup, a mug, a plate, a bowl and one large communal bowl. Everyone designed freely – with humor, mindfulness and a good helping of color.

What usually gets little time in meetings or project phases was taken for granted here: interaction, laughter and letting go.

Such creative team events not only strengthen cohesion, but also foster what is essential in software development: creative thinking, a willingness to experiment and a change of perspective.

From Berlin to Zurich: A symbol of connection

This event was, for the time being, the last where all team members were together on site in Berlin. Shortly afterwards, our colleague Martin moved to Zurich.

A painted communal bowl therefore became more than just ceramics – it became a symbol of our time together. To give Martin his painted mug in person, Ben traveled from Berlin to Zurich. That sent a signal about what connects us: shared values, friendship and trust, even across distance.
